We are delighted to announce goalkeeper Liam McCathie has signed a contract extension with Newtongrange Star which will see Liam commit to the club until the end of the 2023/2024 season.
Thoughts of Manager, Chris King – ‘Liam now moves into his 3rd season with us and has committed for another year after that also. Think it is fair to say this has been his best season with us regarding playing time which has been reflected in his performance levels. Liam definitely took his chance and we feel he has been one of the best in the league so far this season. We are fortunate to have two excellent goalkeepers who support each other brilliantly alongside our goalkeeping coach Brad.’
