We are delighted to announce striker Steven Froude has signed a contract extension which will see Steven commit to Newtongrange Star until the end of the 2023/2024 season. Steven joined the club on a short term contract last month, turning in some impressive performances and contributing with some important goals.
Thoughts of Manager, Chris King – ‘Steven came in to see if he could get the buzz back and we are delighted he has and committed to the club for the next couple of seasons. He is clearly a fit and strong lad with an eye for goal. I think everyone who has watched us in recent weeks has seen how hard Steven works for the team – scoring some big goals in the process. Steven has fitted in really well at the club and we look forward to seeing what he can do over the next few seasons.’
Steven Froude – ‘Initially is was just coming along to training to build my fitness but after couple sessions I was really enjoying it and it got me back wanting to play football. Everyone at the club was really welcoming and the banter is great with the boys. The set up and facilities are really good get well looked after, it’s a great place for me to play my football.’
