Newtongrange Star Football Club are absolutely delighted to announce Paul Milligan has been appointed the new First Team Manager.
Paul will be assisted by his back room staff of Kris Murdoch, Scott Reid, Rab Ure and goalkeeper coach, Brad Murray.
President Archie Lockhart said “We know that this appointment is vital for the Football Club, so we really took our time to make sure we got the right person as our new Manager. There were a number of high-quality managers interested in the role, and we analysed them all thoroughly. The candidates were interviewed in depth by a panel of our committee members before we unanimously came to the decision that Paul was the outstanding candidate and the perfect fit for us”
Paul has managed Newtongrange Star Under 20s for the previous two seasons and will continue to do so until the end of this season. He has done a fantastic job, they currently sit top of their development league with 3 league games remaining. Paul’s brand of football, proven success and ability to work with and develop young players, as well as a clear vision for the club going forward made him the stand out candidate.
Paul Milligan said “I’m very proud and excited to be manager of this fantastic football club, I can’t wait to meet the players in the coming days and get to work.”
You will hear more from Paul in the coming days when he is interviewed for the first time as Newtongrange Star Manager.
We’d like to thank all applicants and wish them all the best in the future.
