Newtongrange Star FC are delighted to welcome the newest members of the Star family to the club!
Following discussions with local football coach Clark Duncan, we now have boys and girls from the 2014, 2015 & 2016 age groups representing the Star. As well as welcoming the young Stars of the future, we also welcome the coaches, parents/carers, family and friends to the club and look forward to getting to know you all. Welcome to the club everyone!
Clark is from the village and is passionate about working with young people and offering them a safe, enjoyable and affordable environment to play their football. We are delighted Clark has chosen to join Newtongrange Star and we are excited to watch the journey as his shooting stars learn and grow with Clark and his coaches.
Following our under 17s team officially changing name from Lasswade Thistle in the summer, we now have players from the 2014, 2015, 2016 & 2007 age groups as well as Under 20s and adult semi-professional team. This is a very important step forward for the club, as we seek to rebuild a strong relationship with the local community, and to put in place a pathway to allow local players the opportunity to progress in the game.
